I have this keyboard and it is not lighting up after connecting the USB to the laptop. Is it broken? Because the software is missing. Can I install the software online or how can I know is the keyboard is still in good condition?

All the keyboards in the world are plug-n-play meaning that they should work out of the box without the drivers. Drivers enhance their functionality by providing additional details related to customization, and other stuff. If you have the drivers, insert the CD and install them. You can do that for the software as well.
You can install the drivers and the software with the keyboard plugged on. However, if it's not responding at all then the keyboard might be faulty.
